DECISION OF
ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
At a meeting held on July 24, 1985, the Zoning Board of Appeals
of the City of Northampton voted unanimously to grant the Finding
request of George Tobin, 21 Kimball Street, Florence, Northampton to
convert an existing barn into a single-family dwelling at 15 Kimball Street,
Flroence, Northampton (URB Zone). Present and voting were: Acting
Chairman William Brandt, Kathleen M. Sheehan and Charles Maguire.
The findings were as follows:
K. Sheehan, referring to Section 9.3 (E), found that as she is
familiar with the property and homes in the area, is aware that
li the barn has been maintained in good condition, that it is one of
. I
a few old barns left standing, and that it fits in with the
neighborhood, the requested use will not be substantially
more detrimental than the existing use, but rather beneficial. i
I
! C. Maguire concurred, finding it clear from the presentation,
that the proposed use would be a decided positive in terms of the
neighborhood and that it would not be substantially more detrimental
I than the existing use to the neighborhood. j
W. Brandt concurred that the requested conversion would not be
more detrimental than the existing use to the neighborhood.
