17A-219 (6) 4,4 k} �'r ..,. yt �F _ , � } J" � �:....,� } DECISION OF THEa =�Y� ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS The Zoning Board of Appeals for the City of Northampton met on Se tember 29, 1982 and unanimous) ranted the "� -""e fo - y g petition of _Richard and Maureen Venne for a special permit to convert their single family home at U4 North Maple Street into two apartments. Based upon the evidence presented to the Board, the Board made the follow- ing findings in regard to the special permit: is 1. The proposed use is listed in the Table of Use Regulations. {i 2. The use bears a positive relationship to the public con- venience or welfare in that another housing unit will be j' added to the existing stock. ! 3. Since the proposal is for the addition of only one apart- !!] ment, the use will not generate an appreciable increase in ' traffic, nor will it impair pedestrian safety. 4. The property is served by the municipal sewer, water and drainage systems, and one apartment will not overload those systems. 5 . The proposed use will not impair the character of the neigh- i borhood because the area is zoned Urban Residence B, where two family homes are allowed by special permit. i The special permit is, however, granted subject to the following condition: 1. That the parking be confined to a designated area in the rear where cars will have sufficient turnaround room, thus elimi- nating the need to back out into the street.
