DECISION OF
NORTHAMPTON ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
At a meeting held on May 4 , 1988 , the Zoning Board of
Appeals of the City of Northampton voted unanimously to
issue a Finding that the addition of a 24 ' x 14 ' two-story
addition to the two-family dwelling located at 181 North
Maple Street, Northampton (Florence) MA will not be
substantially more detrimental to the neighborhood than the
existing nonconforming dwelling and lot.
The Findings were as follows:
The proposed addition complies with all dimensional
setback requirements.
No abutters objected to the proposed addition.
The proposed addition will not be substantially more
detrimental to the neighborhood than the existing
nonconforming use, and in fact will be a substantial
improvement with a salutary effect on the neighborhood.
