It is the opinion of this office that you are in violation of
Section 9.10 of the Zoning Ordinances of the City of Northampton#
specifically the items listed belows
Dection 8.10_ - Parkin Lr and Loading_ Space Standards. All parking
amend loading areas containing over five 5 spaces, including
automotive and drive-in oatablish;:3ents of all types, shall be
either contained within structures, or subject ect to the followings
1. The area shall be effectively screened with suitable
planting or fencing on each side which adjoins or faces
the side or rear lot line of a lot situated in any "K"
District.
2. The area and access driveways thereto shall be surfaced
with bituminous or cement concrete material and shall Iya
graded and drained so as to dispose of all surface grater
accumulation in accordance with acceptable engineering
practices. The location of spaces shall be suitably
marked by painted lines or other appropriate markings.
3. A substantial bumper of masonry, steel, or heavy timber,
or a concrete curb or berg curb which is backed, shall
be placed at the edge of surfaced areas except driveways
In order to protect abuttini; structures, properties and
sidewalks and ;screening materials.
4. The layout *of tile par?tins area shall allow sufficient
space for the stora.r e of plowed snow unless removal by
some other means is provided.
