02-028 (3) ATTACHMENT A Section 16.7 Water Supply Protection District In reviewing the application for a Special Permit with Site Plan Approval for a single-family home, the Planning Board found said lot has: A. The proposed use will- promote the purposes of the Water Supply Protection District, because ground water will be recharged and the low density of the project preserves open space. B. The proposed use is appropriate to the natural topography, soils and other characteristics of the site to be developed because one lot is proposed with minimal site disturbance of the area; C. The proposed use has suitable soil for on-lot sewerage and water systems because the Board of Health has conducted a valid percolation test for the construction of a septic system. D. The project will not, during construction or thereafter, have an adverse environmental impact on groundwater resources in the district because there will be minimal site disturbance and the adjacent isolated wetland will be protected and wooded open spaces will remain undisturbed as a buffer to the wetlands. E. The proposed use will not adversely affect the existing or potential quality and quantity of water in the Water Supply Protection District because clean stormwater runoff will be recharged on the site and enhance ground water.
