Auburn, NH Addendum to Manual "Installation, Operation and Maintenance Instructions" In regards to your inquiry regarding the wording of the Installation of the X-Series press and the exhaust ducting instructions. Our manuals are prepared for our network of distribution in more than 80 countries. When the manuals are describing various ways and methods we understand that all countries are different and in turn we state that "It is compulsory for exhaust ducts to be installed by an authorized installation company, and such installations must conform to the existing laws in the country or area where the machine is used". Proper sized exhaust ducts are essential for proper operation. All elbows should be sweep type, if possible. Exhaust ducts should be assembled so the interior surfaces are smooth, so joints do not permit the accumulation of lint. DO NOT use plastic, thin foil or type B flexible ducts as rigid metal ducts are recommended. DO NOT use sheet metal screws or fasteners on exhaust pipe joints which extend into the duct and catch lint. Use of duct tape or pop rivets on all seams and joints is recommended, if allowed by local codes. The exhaust ducting needs to be installed in an upwards angle, indicating that when ducting in a horizontal direction it should have a minimum upward slope of 3% to eliminate any moisture collection in duct work. Where the exhaust duct pierces a combustible wall or ceiling, the opening must be sized per local codes the space around the duct may be sealed with noncombustible material. The duct should be designed so the static back pressure measured 500mm (20 inches) from the exhaust outlet does not exceed the maximum allowable pressure specified in section 4.7 Exhaust ducting. Static back pressure must be measured with unit operating in heat mode. When ducting exceeds the maximum allowable length 4.5m (16 feet) the diameter of a round duct must be increased by 10% for the next (20 feet). For all applications past these references, consult a local HVAC specialist. Consult your local building code for regulations which may also apply. Ironer Start-up Sheet III. If it doesn't, either increase the temperature or reduce the ironing speed. IV. STAFF ORIENTATION _ok— Instruct the facility staff on the safeties features and ways to stop the machine. _ok— Show the staff on how to adjust the speed and temperature.
