25C-226 DECISION OF
NORTHAMPTON ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
At a meeting held on November 20, 1991, the Zoning Board of Appeals
of the City of Northampton voted unanimously to GRANT the request
of Lars Robert Marshall for a Special Permit and Site Plan Approval
under Sections 10.10, 10.11 and 11.11 governing Home Occupations of
the Northampton Zoning Ordinance for the purpose of operating a
computer consulting business from his home at 55 Walnut Street,
Northampton. Present and voting were Chairman Robert C. Buscher,
M. Sanford Weil, Jr. and Dr. Peter Laband.
The Board found that:
1. The Special Permit criteria under Section 11.11 for a Home
Occupation which apply to this application were all met.
The occupation will be an incidental use occupying under
20% of the floor space. The occupation will be that of the
applicant alone; he resides at that address.
2. All of the Special Permit Criteria under Section 10.10 for a
Special Permit were met. The use is allowed with a Special
Permit and will not create any traffic problems since there
is ample parking space to the rear of the building. Further,
the use will not impair the integrity of the residential
neighborhood:
3. All of the Site Plan Approval /Special Permit Requirements
under Section 10.11 for an intermediate project were met.
The Board set the following conditions:
1. The hours of operation of the home occupation be stipulated
as between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
