DECISION OF THE
ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
The Zoning Board of Appeals for the City of Northampton met
on December 1 , 1982 and voted unanimously to grant the petition
of Claudia and Jarvis Hodges for a special permit to _Construct a .
carport at their home at .. 3 at .. Orchard Street .
Based upon the evidence presented to the Board, the Board
made the following findings in regard to the special permit.
1 . The proposed use would not be substantially more
detrimental to the neighborhood than the previous
use because the construction would only involve
the extention of the roof for a carport, and would
not increase the amount of living space , nor would
it deprive the abutting property of air or light.
2 . The proposed use is found in the Table of USE!
Regulations.
3 . The proposed use would not unduly increase traffic
