Dear Mr. Squires :
This letter is to advise you that you are in violation of the State
Building Code, Northampton Zoning Ordinance, and the Massachusetts State
Electrical Code, in construction of an additional living quarter in the
existing garage. Therefore, cease and desist of any further renovations.
Violations State Building Code, Section 114.0 "PERMITS", Northampton Zoning
Zoning Ordinance - Non-Conforming Use of Structure, Non-Conforming Structure
and Non-Conforming Lot.
Massachsuetts Electrical Code - Chapter 143, Section 31 "PERMIT REQUIRED"
Chapter 527 - CMR 12, Rule 10 states that you do not cover walls until a rough
inspection has been made.
Please contact this office and set up an apointment to meet with us as
soon as possible at 586-6950 ext. 240.
