We are submitting the following Proposal for your consideration:
As requested during the project meeting held on July 8, 1986 , we are
proposing an occupancy schedule for the Bus Storage Area portion of the above
captioned project.
Extremely adverse weather conditions during the month of June, 1986 has
caused significant delay to the progress of construction. As given by the
National Weather Bureau at Bradley Field June' s average rainfall is 3. 2 inches
of percipitation, while June, 1986 received 6. 79 inches and had a total of
14 days of significant rainfall. We lost 14 working days because of this t
percipitation and are requesting a time exension of 14 working days.
Because of the nature of the work being done at that time: site excavation,
installation of below grade structures and concrete footings and foundation,
adverse weather played a major role in its progress. We wish to bring to your
attention the fact that we did in fact have people working in the field on all
but six of those days, but because of the weather the extra effort bore little
fruit.
We feel that we will be able to deliver the Bus Storage Area to the PVTA
for bus storage by August 11, 1986.
Bituminous base will be in place and drainage structure and piping will
be complete on the north side by August 11, 1986. The concrete pits for the
three bus lifts will be poured and all below grade structures within the
building will be in place by August 11, 1986 with the exception of the Bus Wash
area. We feel the two fluid storage receptacles shown on Page A-1 and Page
Eq-1 of the contract drawings are not included in the base contract price and
not included in the completion. schedule.
Acceptance of this proposal will increase/decrease the Contract Sum by
$ 0. 00 and increaseAiRRxRaxR the Contract Time by ays.
