The General Contractor indicated a target date of August 11 , 1986 for partial occupancy of Storage Bay. See GC 's letter dated July 21 , 1986. (Copy attached.) 2) GC has not received curb cut permit or permission for exploratory excavation on street to determine depth of water and gas lines. 3) Discussed gravel base details and requirements. Hall Consulting Engineers Jack Frazier, Juster Pope Associates 1) Discussed General Contractor's expected date for completion of Phase I. 2) Discussed location of water and gas lines in Industrial Drive. Storm drain can be installed as shown on C.T. Male Associates revised drawing dated 08-07-86. GC will proceed with installation. 3) Curb cut permit has been received and distributed. 4) Cost breakdown of replacement gravel base for paved area was discussed. GC was authorized to proceed with work on tine and material basis. Letter of authorization will be sent by Architect. Carl and John will determine extent of gravel contaminated by sitemor't and will monitor hours, loads and quantities of material and labor involved in extra work. Time extension to be based on actual time required to ccimwlete work. 5) Bollards have been installed but must be relocated to.e-xtend at least one inch into clear door opening. 6) Bob Manz approved use of temporary passage doors for Phase I occupancy. 7) Reviewed and approved rough pay requisition in the amount of $326,001.00. 8) Next meeting, scheduled for August 19, 1986 at 8:30 AM. Contracting, Sitework Contractor 1) Architect instructed GC to remove damaged pre-cast panel from front corner of Bus Storage facia. 2) GC was asked to furnish a revised construction schedule for next meeting. 3) GC was asked to furnish required 8" x 10" photographs in plastic covers for three hole binders. 4) GC anticipated Phase I occupancer can be the first part of next week. 5) Discussed mounting height of bus storage lighting fixtures. Andy Labbee will check heights at Springfield facility and notify GC and Electrical Sub-Contractor. 6) GC will submit layout of proposed drain line re-routing to existing manhole in rotary. Northampton DPW must review and approve solution prior to proceeding with work. 7) GC will present breakdown for gravel replacement work for preparation of Change Order. 8) Discussed sign lighting. High early yield strength concrete was not used as previously discussed. Questions were raised regarding the strength of concrete at time of removing shoring. G: has requested sample breaks for 7 and 9 day strength. No shoring is to be removed until concrete has reached 28 day strength. 10 ) Discussed location of bollards at vent stacks. Contracting, Sitework Contractor 1) General Contractor submitted a revised project schedule. 2) Discussed cutting and patching requirements. The General Contractor is responsible for cutting and patching. 3) Discussed t emocrary heat requirements. Heat is required to maintain working environment for PVTA Maintenance Personnel in bus storage area. 4 ) The General Contractor will have the Wayne Dalton Door Representative visit the site and approve door installation. 5) Grading of parxing lot questioned. The General Contractor will co of irm f in e grading. informs to elevations indicated cn site drawings. 6) Discussed occupancy requirrnents. F7-rA will accept storage bay when temporary lights are installed and doors are 100% installed except for elec~.;;c operators. One Hundred Fifty Day Completion Date is critical. PVTA must occupy all portions of Phase II construction on that date. 7) Robert Manz requested that all tanks have product labels installed on fill cans. 8 ) GC will provide a container for trash and clean site appropriately as required by Specifications.
