Raul , I have reviewed the Project Plans #7417 P-1 Dated
11-30-94- given to me on 2/9/95 at the afternoon meeting at
the Coca Cola Plant Industrial Drive Northampton.
The Blending Room and Mixing Room Hub Drains in my
opinion are improperly wasted and vented as per our
discussion. The eight plastic hub drain pipes without traps
are a major concern. The air compressor room drains, boiler
room drains, dock area drains that are piped in plastic are
also a major concern.
The Lab Special waste piping and Water treatment waste
piping are also a concern. I need the notarized list of
waste products that will be entering these drains. I also
need Engs. Drawings of the waste,vent and water piping as
per our conversation at the meeting on 2/9/95.
My decision on these matters listed above is that you
have a Plan review with the Mass. Board of Examiners.
You indicated in our discussion at the meeting you
would be seeking a Variance from the Board for the hub
drains,air compressor room drains,boiler room drains and the
dock area drains.
It is my opinion that a Plan Review with the Board of
Examiners will determine what means are needed to remedy the
situation.
At our meeting on 2/10/95 we discussed the option of
using properly wasted and vented housetraps outside the
building for the five hub drain lines that exit the
building. I feel you should also bring this up to the Board
at the time of your Plan Review for their decision.
