It is with displeasure that I am informing you of
violations pertaining to the Massachusetts Gas Code
specifically; Rule 27,Sect. 2. 1 .a. ,3.3. 1 . In making a site
inspection at the Coke Plant, Industrial Drive Northampton,
I observed people from your Company installing gas lines on
Friday Jan 27th 1995. I spoke with your foreman Richard and
your project manager Brien, informing them of the violations
listed above.
I spoke with Louis Visco and he informed me that there
will be a meeting on Feb 1st, pertaining to the application
submitted for the Coke Plant gas installation. Louis Visco
also informed me that he assigned Edward Sculepowicz to the
Coke Plant Project, he also stated that you should not have
begun the work without a permit and the approval of the
application that was submitted to the Board.
I cannot issue your Company a permit until you are in
compliance with Rule 27, Mass. State Gas Code. I have also
been informed by the Building Commissioner who is my
Department Head that there will be a double fee charged
because your Company started the work before obtaining a
permit. He also informed me that the violation of Section
3.3. 1 . must be remedied.
I have office hours in the Municipal Building, Room 100
from 8:30-9:30 Monday thru Friday. I expect you to call me
and hope with your cooperation these violations will be
corrected.
