At their meeting on November 14, 1985, the Northampton Planning Board
reviewed the I'min.or p an change" regarding J.A. Wright's proposed expansion.
The Board determined that the amendment/change conforms to the general plan
of the locality.

Penny Kim reviewed with Board members results of research of files & deeds relative to
control the NRA had over the (former.) Bak Tire Company property and noted
that a person representing the new Ford Dealership, that will take over the
p;:operty,has been contacted and will be invited to the next meeting of the NRA.
Board members discussed a request from Walter Murphy for a comm_ssion on the
sale of PVTA and WMBL. Th^ Authority agreed that the City Solicitor should
be asked what the legalities of the situation are.
B ?.d Huntley appeared before the Board reviewing possible subdivisions of the
remaining parcels of land in the Industrial Park.

The Northampton Redevelopment Authority held its regular scheduled meeting on
Monday, September 23, 1985 in the Council on Aging Meeting Room, Memorial Hail,
Irthampton, Mass.
Chairman Skroski called the meeting to order at 7:40 P.M. Roll call showed
Chairman, members Paul Stramese, Al Griggs and Leonard Maggiolino present.
Member Richard Abuza absent.
Penny Kim discussed with the Board 2 prospects for the Industrial Park: 1) Western
Mass. Food Bank - Penny advised the realtor that the NRA would get back to them
after the confiuration of the remaining available parcel is known. 2) Ncrtha.mpton
Manufacturing Company - Penny discussed a preliminary conversation with the firm.
A brief discussion took place regarding the Western Mass . Buses parked in open
view on PVT-A property in th Park. Penny noted that there had been complaints
from other park tenants. I,. was the general consensus of the Board to contact
Robert Manz of PVTA reauesting he comply with the stipulations of the land sales
contract with the NRA. Further, it was noted if there are any hardships involved
the Board should be notified promptly.
Penny Kim stated that after reviewing Bob Foote' s plans for a new building with
Conservation Conumission, it was decided that a site visit might be in order.
She noted she would try to expedite the process.
The NRA unanimously voted acceptance of a minor plan change in the Redevelopment
Plan regarding Jonathan Wright' s property in the Industrial Park. Plan Change
as follows:
1. To reduce the side set back requirements on his parcel from 50' to 301 .
2. To reduce the rear set back requirement from 50' to 10' to allow construction
of an addition, points of which will come to ten feet from the property line
separating this lot from Parcel 12D. (The existence of a 30' utility easement
on the other side of the property line assures that sufficient space between
structures will be maintained) .

3. Waiver of the Set Back Requirement of the Redevelopment Plan relative to the
siting of the E&J facility (NRA 5/21/84 Resolution) .
