COMPLIANCE STATEMENT: The proposed building design described here is
consistent with the building Tans , specifications, and other calculations
submitted with the permit application. The proposed building has been
designed to meet the requirements of the Massachusetts Energy Code.
The heating load for this building, and the cooling load if appropriate,
has been determined using the applicable Standard Design Conditions found
in the Code. The HVAC equipment selected to heat or cool the building
shall be no greater than 125% of the design load as specified in
sections 780CMR 1310 and J4.4.

Scope of the Work:
This project will involve converting a two family house into a one family house.
The majority of the work will be on the first floor.
Enclose part of the rear porch for use as a new main entrance and exercise room,
as shown on drawings by Peter Frothingham, registered Architect.
Remove old stairs to second floor and replace with new pre-built stairs of even
rise. Repair or replace wall surfaces.
Remove all wall surfaces from the first floor living room, kitchen, and study to
properly insulate and upgrade electrical wiring.
Replace any original windows with new Pella proline windows to match those
on the second floor.
Sheetrock walls and trim with cherry moldings to match.
Replace flooring with new pre finished material.
Install new kitchen cabinets as instructed by owner.
Remove forced air heating system and replace with hot water boiler and
baseboard radiation.
All painting is to be by owner.
All plumbing and Heating by others.

and to allow such homeowner to engage an individual for hire who does not possess a license, provided that the owner acts
as supervisor. CMR 780, Sixth Edition Section 108.3.5.1.
Definition of Homeowner: Person(s)who own a parcel of land on which he/she resides or intends to reside,on which there
is, or is intended to be, a one or two family dwelling, attached or detached structures accessory to such use and/or farm
structures. A person who constructs more than one home in a two-year period shall not be considered a homeowner.
Such"homeowner" shall submit to the Building Official, on a form acceptable to the Building Official, that he/she shall be
responsible for all such work performed under the building permit.
As acting Construction Supervisor your presence on the job site will be required from time to time, during and upon
