19. Exterior Trim: Skip requested clarification of fascia configuration. It was agreed that
the fascia will have three steps. Overall size to match fascia on last addition. Painted
trim will be backed primed pine (this may mean credit for cedar). Soffit is to be
plywood which will match the thickness of the continuous soffit vent.
20. Classroom/Library Ceiling Finish: Bruce reported that a acoustic spray was not include
in the painters base bid. He will advise on price.

9. Boiler room:
a. Existing Boiler room to be increased in size. Room to be expanded to west to
included existing hot water tank and new boiler. New boiler to be vented to east
wall. Existing door to be relocated to east wall. Door to be retro-fitted with
gypsum board to achieve required fire rating.
b. Roger corrected minutes: He reported that he sent Rise Engineering Southface's
cut sheet of proposed boiler. Bruce suggested Roger inform Southface of want
he's attempting to do with the gas utility through Rise.
C. Bruce to request Buster to add lights to boiler room area, tied back to upstairs
switch in leu of credit from exterior light switch (see lighting).
10. Ventilation: Nothing further.
11. Lighting:
a. Classroom fixture: Roger reported that classroom fixture can be switched
separately but it must be specified as such.
b. Rebate: Roger to write letter making case for credit for suspended lights.
C. Exterior lighting: Buster called Roger to question why all exterior lights were
specified to be connected to one switch. He had overlooked this requirement and
hasn't included it in his bid. The board agreed that all exterior lighting can be
individually switched. The Building Committee would like Buster to provide
wiring for lighting and a proposed sump pump (see water problem) for the
origin house basement area, in leu of his oversight.
12. Paving: See above (proposals).
13. Budget:
a. Bruce to provide a running tally for Herb including approved items and 1. credit
for star burst, 2. credit for 8" stone, 3. add for rebar in slab, and 4. credit for
exterior light fixture swap, etc.
b. Susan to put together a furnishings budget.
14. Trees:
a. Fertilizing: Bruce to provide written intent from arborist. Skip said crown
pruning will come near -the end of the job (I.E. 3rd week in August).
b. Cotton to look at the tree in question and parking lot trees.
15. Computer Wiring: Craig has run CATS wires.
16. Blower Door Test: Roger presented CSG report/proposal dated July 3rd, to Building
committee. The test results indicate that the existing building has a great deal of
leakage. CSG has proposed air sealing remediation totaling $4,300. They have also
proposed insulation upgrades for the same areas, totaling $2,300. After minutes notes:
The gas utility may help with this cost.
17. Security & Fire alarms: Bob said he will call the company today.
18. Existing roof: Roofer has repaired a small area of the existing roof.

b. Trusses: Letter from manufacturer required re: point load for moveable partition.
C. Electrical: Laura returned lighting submittal. Incandescent exit sign rejected,
should be LED. Several other fixtures remain in question.
d. Moveable partition: Bruce said additional material will be added to bottom of
truss to anchor partition. Height to be verified.
e. Hardware: Nothing further.
3. Colors:
a. Roger gave Skip a mark up of exterior trim color locations based on a walk
through with Susan.
b. Skip requested final VCT color choices. The only question remaining is color
accents. See minutes of 19 June for VCT choices.

perimeter and install drains and sump pump.

20. Classroom/Library Ceiling Finish: Bruce said his research on acoustic spray has lead
him into a very specialized area. He's been able to find an installer from the eastern
part of the state. Bruce thinks this could be expensive. Roger relayed Laura's concern
(see section 09250 "Spray finish at classroom ceilings") along with a spray
specification. Spray equal to USG Texture XII Drywall Surfaces, No Asbestos, Water
Mixed; Sand Textured. Bruce to investigate.
21. ECH Standard: Skip will schedule Bruce Harley to do next site visit.
22. Fire alarms: It was clarified that M & S is responsible for fire alarms, detectors, and
related equipment. New system to be tied in with existing.

permit, and drilling own holes. Their work will follow Buster's. Buster is expected to

payback to insulate more, and recommends this because of the addition of new HRV
units.

18. Existing roof: Bruce submitted prices to strip roof($4,255) and re-roof it($7,360). This
work cannot be done at this time, but the hole in roofing should be patched.

when package was re-bid to get the price down, and he had substituted wrap-
around fixture. This fixture has not been found to be an acceptable substitution.
Bruce suggested that cost for the desired suspended fixture be split 3 ways($1,820
ea) between supplier, WB, and Owner. This was found to be acceptable to Susan,
Bob, and Herb.
b. Can this classroom fixture be switched separately? - Bruce to ask.

d. Porch flood: The Owner would like to add one flood light above classroom

said it will be anchored directly to bottom chord. Laura said WB needs to verify
the partition height.

C. wiring for future insta-heat: No.
d. Parquet flooring ($8,268): No, stick with VCT.
e. glued on acoustic tile at classroom ceilings ($7,758): No, stick with
sprayed on treatment. Laura said spray finish has acoustic properties, but
that she recommends area rugs to improve acoustics further.
f. Parking lot: The owner wants paved, striped parking at an add above the
allowance of $1,351 including 7" of additional gravel base. They would
