The existing rafters are 2x12 installed at 16"on-center, and appear to be yellow pine spanning 15' to 18'. The rafters are supported on what appears to be W 14x43 steel I-beams that span 28' and are supported on masonry walls. The roof is flat. I have reviewed the details for the proposed ballasted array. Based on the specified PV panel unit weight of 41.9 lbs,the array with ballast will add approximately 6.5 psf to the existing roof dead load.
