Yacuzzo, Andrew Crystal, Paul Diemand, Rick Marquis, M. Sanford Weil, Jr. and Alton Neal. At 7:05 p.m., Yacuzzo opened the meeting. At 9:02 p.m., Yacuzzo opened the Public Hearing on a request from the City of Northampton/Office of Planning & Development to modify the Forest Glen II Definitive Subdivision Plan by deleting Clear Spring Court, a paper street, under Section 81W of MGL Chapter 41, for property located off of Burts Pit Road, also known as Assessor's Map 36, Parcel 149. Yacuzzo read the legal notice. Feiden explained that Clear Spring Court was never constructed, and the so-called"paper street" was being deleted to clear title to adjacent properties. The City now owns the property and has solicited requests for proposals for its purchase, he advised. Yacuzzo reminded members that Neal would not be able to vote [because Associate Members are not eligible to vote on subdivision approvals]. Diemand moved to close the hearing. Crystal seconded. Yacuzzo asked if anyone wished to speak in favor or in opposition? City Councillor Marianne LaBarge said she and Feiden had worked very closely on the issue, and she had received calls from residents in Ward 6, and she supported the proposal one hundred percent (100%). The motion passed unanimously 7:0. Diemand moved that the request by the Northampton Planning Department to modify the Forest Glen II Definitive Subdivision Plan by deleting Clear Spring Court, a paper street, under Section 81W of MGL Chapter 41, for property located off of Burts Pit Road, also known as Assessor's Map 36, Parcel 149, be granted.
