RE: Complaint of a possible illegal business
DATE: May 26, 1993
This morning our department received a complaint from a Mrs. Betty
Lou Deturk, who lives on Hickory Drive. She stated that "Richard
Finn & Sons are operating their business out of the house at 29
Hickory Drive (see attached ad) and that employees are parking cars
in the street and on the lawn. Additionally, she does not believe
that someone is living there. If there is anything that can be
done to correct/clarify the situation it would be appreciated. She
will not be available after this afternoon, but a Bob Cloutier
(neighbor) would be available (584-5361) to answer any questions or
to be notified of any actions.

hours after your call . " No customers visit 29 Hickory Dr .
Northampton, Ma. . This is our residence and upon completion of
remolding this house we will quietly blend back into this
lovely and serene neighborhood .

Re : Letter dated May 26, 1993 to Frank Sienkiewicz (copy attached )
Dear Paulette L. Kuzdeba,
Enclosed please find photocopy of your memo as referenced above .
Please allow this letter to serve as an update and formal
response .
Building inspector Sienkiewicz did respond to your written memo
and during his recent visit he discovered the following :
1 . ) A building permit was on file and visible at job site
( 29 Hickory Drive)
2 . ) He found (5) people actively remoldeling house as
described in permit .
3 . ) And yes he saw ( 5) autos parked in yard which
represented the workers employed inside .
When you remodel you tend to have plumbers , electricians ,
carpenters, etc. working at your house . I trust this is
acceptable to all concerned parties.
For the record a family of four currently resides at 29 Hickory
Dr . Northampton, Ma . We have lived here full time since Jan.
15, 1993 . Our names are Richard, Jayne , Chris . and Jim Finn.
