Dear Mr. Tenanes:
We have been informed that the gas meter at 18 Harlow Ave., Northampton,MA
supplies gas to that home as a boarding house.
For this reason, the Massachusetts Sanitary Law states that the landlord,not the
renter, must pay for the gas service to that home.
In order to comply with this law,we have transferred the gas account into your
name and billed you for gas previously used at the above address. You will be receiving
a bill in a few days that reflects the gas usage,for.this apartment from 11/17/07 to
9/16/08. You have the right to dispute this bill within 60 days of the date of this letter.
You can do so by calling or writing.
