Dear Mr. Patillo:
This is a follow-up to our confirmation on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at approximately 9:30
A.M. regarding a complaint filed in your office by Mitchell Watras, Jr. of Hatfield
accusing us of dumping snow on our Ventures Field Rd. property.
First, The Fact: We adamantly deny dumping of snow on Ventures Field Rd. We have
designated snow dump areas authorized by the City of Northampton.
In our conversation you confirmed that you visited our property on Ventures Field Rd on
January 31, @ 1:05 P.M. and could not determine that any snow was dumped on our
property. We also agreed that our yard was plowed and the accumulated snow had been
pushed to the side. Also, you indicated that you had spoken with Mr. Jacobus and Mr.
Andrikitis and they confirmed we were utilizing the designated City snow dump area.
We regret Mr. Watras continues to harass and make false allegations which result in
using the City of Northampton officials and employee resources when your time and the
Northampton taxpayers money is so valuable and limited. As you know the Watras
family has for years assaulted verbally, and otherwise, city officials, employees, our
family and many others, while not paying any of their real estate taxes for years. I have
had a restraining order on Mr. Watras in the past for threatening to commit a crime,
(please see attached), perhaps it is time to renew that order.
Thank you for informing me Mr. Feiden wished to speak to us. 1 am in the process of
replying to him.

Subject: Response to complaint of illegal snow dumping by John Stanisewski
Mrs. Watras,
I am enclosing a copy of your complaint Dated Jan. 28, 2000. I have made several site
visits to the Ventures Fields property of John Staniesewski to investigate your and your
son's complaints that illegal dumping of snow is occurring.
I have not found any evidence that snow has been dumped on the property in question. I
have talked with the Staniesewski's about your complaints and have included a letter from
them responding to the complaints. I have spoken to DPW as to where the approved areas
for dumping were and if Stanisewski was dumping snow from city property at these
locations. Mr. Stanisewski has been dumping the snow at the Pro-brush lot which was a
approved site.
I also made site visits this last weekend after the storm and found that there was no
dumping of plowed snow on the Venture's Field property.
If you have any other questions please respond in writing, it is extremely difficult for my
staff to answer you on the phone when you yell at them and accuse them of "being on the
take". I will continue to monitor the situation and will continue to respond to your
concerns , I just ask that you put them in writing.
