In order to accommodate this request,the buildings were moved as far to the east as grading and solar exposure considerations allow. Because of this,the proposed setback in this location is 17.8' (20' is required under the bylaw). A variance is sought under the comprehensive permit to allow for a reduction in the required side yard setback in this location. Project work will include removal of an existing house, driveway, walks, and utilities; some clearing of trees and brush; re-grading of portions of the site; installation of stormwater management controls and other site utilities; construction of two buildings for residential use; and installation of a small parking area and walkways. The proposed project will utilize geothermal wells for heating and cooling and solar panels for hot water.
