31B-294 7/15108 Item re-opened-Dave left a vmail with field tech guy at Bay State Gas. Adams has done the preliminary work. The gas vent still needs to be moved to the North side(where old stairway was) and painted "White". John R requested that if Dave hasn't heard back from BSG by Monday to contact Charlie. The College can help facilitate. 7/29/08 Dave spoke wBSG and they sent a field guy. Dave to call and check in. Post mtg:Dave emailed WB that he spoke with Sandra at Bay State Gas 781-9200 ext 2241. She remembered scheduling this work and thought it was done. The fitter who does this work is out sick today. She said she expected him to be in tomorrow, and would send him to the site. Item closed. 3.16 6/17/08 Cab unit heater- Style 1020, size 'W',48"L x 25"H x 9 1/2" DP - Charlie doesn't want it behind the door. It will interfere with traffic. Julia to look at moving it to stair wall first and substitute with radiator(s) second. She says radiators will only provide 1/3 the heat of unit heater. 7/1/08 Heater moved to the stair wall. Buster to note electric changes. He requested a copy of the electrical specs for heater from Adams. Item closed. 7/15/08 Dave has heater specs for Buster if needed but Julia said she gave Bob/M&S the electrical info on site. Fractional hp-nothing complicated. Dave to check on the cab unit heater order and submit specs "For Record". 7/29108 Per Dave,heater expected to arrive next week. Record submittal coming. 4.13 7/1/08 Insulation of ducts -Per Julia, supply HAS to be insulated-per spec. Item closed. 7/15/08 Julia checked spec. Return ducts to be insulated also. If impossible to install due to limited space, Ok w/Julia not to install insulation on return ducts - "not a big deal". Item closed. 7/29/08 Charlie inquired about the insulation of return ducts. Dave says they insulated everything they could except those tight to wall. Per Jim, insulation was blown around the returns as much as possible. Item closed. 5.10 7/15/08 Radiators-All did site visit on Tues, 7/8,to review radiators. Jody emailed summary of mtg on 7/8. He noted for these minutes that radiator locations were verified at site mtg. He put in request for limits of size and supplier to follow these directives and fax list of radiators for bldg to Julia today. In Presentation Rm there is a total of 5 radiators - 3 @ South wall and 2 on West wall (one on either side of the exterior door to terrace). 7/29/08 Adams to forward the radiator schedule to all today. Jim has installed sufficient blocking to accommodate radiator installations. PLUMBING/HVAC -NEW BUSINESS 6.10 7/29108 Change Order info-Jim to forward remainder of cost changes to Art today. 6.11 7/29/08 Automatic temp control submittal-Joel will forward this week. They fine tuned the fire alarm & lighting layout per code with the exception of a,few fixture & outlet locations revisited at today's site mtg.Jody to forward a red line drawing of changes to Julia. Buster requested a set of revised E drwgs. 7/15/08 Jody to do red line drwg and forward to Julia. Revised electrical drwgs to be forwarded to Buster via WB. 7/29/08 Jody to do today. 5.8 7/15/08 Wall plates -Julia asked for clarification of color&type. Jody said "Brown" in Presentation Rm since plates will be on wood surfaces. All other locations including the Entry/Vestibule to be "White". Charlie to confirm whether plates are "plastic" or "painted steel" as was recently speed at one of the dorms. 7/29/08 CHANGE-Decision made to have brushed stainless plates everywhere on 1 st Floor. 2nd Floor to be all White. Devices in stained wood to be brown. All others to be white. Item closed. 5.9 7/15/08 More Fire Alarm submittals -Julia distributed a list of Fire Alarm documentation required by the NFD prior to the engineer's test.WB to get list to Buster. PLUMBING/HVAC 3.12 6/17/08 Bay State Gas -Dave/Adams to notify Bay State Gas about moving of gas vent. In meantime,Adams can cut it back into the bldg as long as the valve is turned off. Per Jody,the radiators need to be kept out of the HC circle. 5.7 7/15/08 Second Floor finish flooring-Jody confirmed the stair &landing area at top of stair to be carpet&pad per contract.Material& color of carpet have been submitted and approved. Charlie requested on 7/11 that WB price out carpet&pad for 2 large rooms on 2nd Flr to keep noise down. Jody said price out same carpet as stair/landing. 7/29/08 Flooring has been priced, approved and ordered. Item closed. NEW BUSINESS 6.1 7/29/08 Compaction at Patio - Charlie asked for confirmation the patio has been compacted and will not settle. At the site visit, Cody/the mason confirmed the patio has been well compacted with machine. Item closed. 6.2 7/29/08 Revised Site Plan-Charlie will provide revised site plan showing new stone &screen at a/c condenser,redesign of walkway to parking lot rather than street adjacent to Park Annex, drainage swail/retaining wall,rework of stone walls at planting bed between bldg &parking lot and rework of existing steps to parking lot. Also add of grate at window well adjacent to a/c condenser. Post mtg:Jody emailed "Plan &Elevs at Screen"drwg far Charlie to incorporate in site plan and WB to begin pricing of screen. 6.3 7/29/08 Window blinds -Art to contact installer and provide submittal. 6.4 7/29/08 Basement finish-Charlie did walk thru with Bob Lesko. Bob asked that WB price remedial cleaning and spray out of Basement walls in white by Lococo. Charlie requested Lococo include credit for prep, sand& scrape of existing siding. 6.5 7/29108 2nd Flr Bath tub - Charlie reminded all to make sure the tub drain is disconnected& plugged and tub enclosure to be left but install a ptd white plywood top on tub. Walls to have insulation and ceiling 2"rigid foam.WB also to clean out debris from under basement stairs. r 1 **Inspection Schedule** Friday, 8/15 - Certificate of Occupancy required by this date. Miscellaneous exterior work may continue into week of Aug 18th. Weds, 8/13 - Final Electrical/Low Voltage Inspection Weds, 8/13 - Final Plumbing Inspection Mon, 8/11 -Fire Alarm System - Engineer's test Weds, 8/13 - Fire Alarm System- Fire Dept Final Inspection Week of 8/11, 8/18 - College to attend startup of HVAC system. Jody will provide exterior paint colors,likely gray body w/white trim. Item closed. 5.2 7/15/08 Exterior doors -Art reported that 2 new exterior doors (not new bulkhead dr) are due in beginning of August. This is not acceptable and will cause delays. He will contact vendor to expedite. 7/29/08 Per Art,the eta for the exterior doors is next Weds, 8/6. They will be installed immediately thereafter. Charlie suggested continue with siding above doors now and fill down after dr install. 5.5 7/15/08 Bath accessories -have been ordered per spec. Submittal for record coming soon.
