Settling crack was observed above existing Annex window opening clue to sagging -_ lintel (or other cuases) . Mortar from 4th floor level up has deteriorated . Bricks seem to be in good shape and according to Miller, Inc, may be reused. Bulges in the brick occur under existing chimneys front and back. l 2 . Third floor egress stair doorway openings into Hotel and Annex ha�7e no lintels and some brick has fallen on Annex side . (as per Jack Casio 2/5/88) . Previous work performed on these doorways should have incorporated steel lintels. Annex side lintel should be installed as per drawing Sl, 09/04/87 . 3 . Second floor egress stair door into Annex won ' t open due to slab landing poured too hiqh by previous contractor . Door is not required legal_ egress.
