Our Eagles Club has, as you know, run into several challenges needing immediate attention. • The building has been cited by local authorities as needing fire protection (sprinkler system); • Our liquor license will expire in 2007 unless we solve building code and renovation challenges; • the kitchen needs renovation if we are ever to use it again (it is not compliant with local codes); and a fully functioning kitchen would allow us to earn necessary revenue; • and our finances are at rock-bottom. Without your help and participation, we will be out of operation by the new year? 1. MEET: We will hold an organization meeting, seeking member comment and support for action, on November 7, at 6pm. PLEASE attend and participate, at our building. We need a full vote of the membership to secure a 2nd mortgage and begin solving our problems!! 2. SUPPORT: We each need to provide whatever level of financial support we can. Dues for being an Eagle, and for enjoying all of the benefits that go along with being an Eagle, are very low. It's reasonable, then, to ask ourselves to add some extra donation this year. We are asking that each Eagle member donate at least $10; any additional amount would be great. 3. TALK TO ME: Many members have stopped attending events and meetings. I want to know what's needed to revitalize Northampton Eagles. PLEASE CALL ME with questions or comments: Phil Sullivan, 413-584-9400. Please contribute$10,or more if you can,to our"Building Fund".Make out a check to Northampton Eagles Aerie 2532,and note that it is for the Building Fund. Send it in or bring with you on November 7. f
