Zoning Permit Application

Applicant wishes to prepare the premises for leasing to as yet
unascertained parties as follows:
A. Repair interior walls, ceilings, etc. ;
B. Repair exterior walls, windows, etc. ;
C. Add second story to building within footprint of
first story;
D. Square off southwest corner of building.
Interior of building will be left open until tenants ascertained.
Note: Necessary findings for changes in use shall be applied for
as the need arises.

9 . On the attached Abutters Form, list the complete mailing
address of:
a) all property owners who abut the parcel under consideration
(including those across the street or across municipal
boundaries) , and
b) all property owners located within 300 feet of the subject
parcel who abut anyone listed in a) above.
Said list must be certified by the Northampton Assessor's
Office as to the accuracy of the names and addresses submitted
before the Application may be filed. Please note that it may
take up to 7 (seven) days for the Assessors to certify such
list SO PLAN AHEAD ACCORDINGLY.
10 . Applicant must read the GUIDE TO APPLYING FOR A ZONING
VARIANCE, SPECIAL PERMIT OR FINDING and endorse and date the
Application. If the applicant is a corporation, partnership,
trust or other business entity, a duly authorized officer
should sign. An attorney or other duly authorized
representative of the applicant may sign on behalf of the
applicant.
PROCEDURES
The Applicant must take the original and 11 (eleven) complete
copies of the application packet to the City Clerk's Office, who
will forthwith, stamp the original and 11 copies as to the date of
receipt, and will return the 11 copies to the Applicant who shall
forthwith file the 11 copies, along with the Filing Fee, with the
Northampton Office of Planning & Development. A complete
application packet shall consist of:
1. the signed and dated Finding Application Form,
2 . the signed and dated Zoning Permit Application,
3 . the List of Abutters Certified by the Northampton
Assessor's Office,
4 . any Site or Sketch Plans that are required, and
5. any additional information that is required or which the
Applicant wishes to submit in support of the Application.
The Filing Fee for a Finding Application is $50 plus $2. 00 for
everyone listed on the Abutters Form as required in Line 11, and
should be submitted when the Application is filed. Only one Filing
Fee will be charged if more than one, or a combination of, Special
Permits, Variances or Findings is required for a single project
(the Filing Fee of the greater amount shall be charged) . Make
checks payable to CITY OF NORTHAMPTON.

A SEPARATE APPLICATION FORM MUST BE USED FOR EACH SPECIFIC FINDING
THAT IS REQUIRED AND BEING APPLIED FOR.
IT IS THE APPLICANT' S (OR HIS/HER/THEIR REPRESENTATIVE'S)
RESPONSIBILITY TO SATISFY ALL LEGAL REQUIREMENTS IN THE
APPLICABLE STATUTES AND ORDINANCES THROUGH THE WRITTEN
APPLICATION AND PRESENTATION AT THE PUBLIC HEARING. FAILURE
TO MEET ALL REQUIREMENTS MAY PREVENT THE APPLICANT FROM
REAPPLYING FOR TWO YEARS.
This Application should be completed using a typewriter or be
legibly hand printed. All numbered items on the application must
be completed. Put N/A if you feel that the item is not applicable.

5. List specific Section and Page of Zoning Ordinance under which
Finding is being made. (Information is available in Zoning
Ordinance. )
6 . Give a complete and detailed description of the proposed work
or project. Use additional sheets if necessary.
7 . List how your proposed work/project complies with criteria for
receiving a Variance, which is contained in the Applicant' s
Guide. Use additional sheets if necessary.
8 . Check if Sketch or Site Plan is submitted, or if none is
required. A site/sketch plan should be drawn as near to scale
as possible showing, among other things, lot boundaries,
dimensions of existing and/or proposed structures and the
distances of said structures from the lot boundaries, parking,
fencing, etc. It is strongly suggested that a sketch plan be
submitted for most applications as a visual presentation often
greatly enhances the effectiveness of the narrative
presentation. A formal Site Plan is required to be submitted
