Hall Consulting Engineers, Bob Desrosiers, and Easthampton Electric to attend. • Patrick to research monitoring options; Northampton Fire Department monitoring requires two phone lines; not Northampton Fire Department. • Scope of work likely to affect four units owned by Northampton Housing Authority. Upgrade to addressable systems seems extensive when prompted by only a closing inspection/fumace and hot water heater grade. Additional knox box at 18 Michelman will probably be required. • Generally, specified systems conform to town requirements; except monitoring agency's request for two phone lines. Site • Excessive water intrusion noted in basement of 18 Michelman. Desrosiers to price tie-in downspouts to site drainage for this building. Grading — Stakes are set. Desrosiers to contact Carlson & Schmitt Architects for review of rough grade. o Grade at dumpster area steep, Desrosiers to blend/extend toward saw cut to reduce slope. o Sidewalk in front of 79 Michelman slope8.3% per revised grading plan; to reduce slope to 5%, additional sidewalk and paving will require grading (approximately 8') with saw cut on a slight diagonal back toward corner of concrete retaining wall. This will incur additional costs —Desrosiers to submit. o Carlson & Schmitt Architects to layout dumpster location — see attached sketch — Desrosiers to price. Dumpster pad to be approximately 15'w x 17'd x 6" thick with 6x6x10/10 wwm — broom finish. Rene Breton, Breton Masonry Kevin Rothschild-Shea, Carlson & Schmitt Architects, Inc. 18 Michelman— North Elevation Scope of work to include: • Repair of masonry along gable trim • Removal of brick infill at triangular soffit (closest to Michelman) • Replacement of wood lintels • Repointing of masonry at bottom 15" • Spalled/eroded bricks to be removed and replaced • Sill detail — see attached sketch. Remove or reset existing brick sill as required to receive pressure treated wood sill. • Repointing — Only scheduled (at this point) if repointing requirements are approaching/indicating structural failure of the veneer. • Note scope directed in field by Architect will affect earlier proposed trade to vinyl by Desrosier; general contractor to offer revised estimate. Interior Masonry • Foundation repair adjacent to door 8 to include small area remaining between repaired areas; clean up and point open joints as needed. North West Corner — Mason to remove brick (2-3) near corner bulge for Architect review (This is an additional area).
