estimate loam to stripped and offer defined yardage quantities.
C. Probable areas for use/minimizing of excess material:
1. Revise 6pth-of specified graveiibelow paver!-areas-use of
geo-textile here will augment structural capabilities of soil
preparation.
2. Strip satellite parking lot gravel.
3. Raise grade throughout site/parking areas. Cubic yard
calculations are required before design team can adjust
grading. Formwork for foundation walls on hold until
grading options ake reviewed. Carlson & Schmitt Architects
to offer revised foundation details as needed.
• Two interior4ow pite caps require concrete pier to coordinate with raised
slab area- Engineering Design Associates to advise.

• Pile caps at back half of structure poured, and backfilled with compacted
gravel.
• Pile installation continues, approximately,85%ciimptete.
• Pile cap forming and pouring underway.
• Additional pile costs submitted by Desrosiers, distributed this meeting.
New Issues:
• Tilman recapped the importance of submitting the pencil Tquisition at the
second to last Thursday of each month job meeting. Questions/review of
the pencil requisition to be completed that meeting to allow for final
submittal and prolmPtpaymentprocessing.
• Satellite Parking Area - Bob Desrosiers indicated that settlement appears
to be occurring see May 5, 2003 correspondence); and the following
options/issues w e reviewed:
A. Limitation of the contractor's liability, given the condition of soils,
and discovery of debris elsewhere on site.
B. The creation/assignment of additional maintenance funds to cover
pavement repair Eosts.
C. Specification , of geo-textile fabric by Mike Talbot to
reinforce/stabilize existing soils.
Generally, settlement and cracking of pavement may be experienced; it's
difficult to predict stability; but Mike Talbot predicts a shorter than average
lifespan for the pliving, and more frequent repairs in the first years.
Bob indicated excess fill on site needs to be addressed -to that end:
A. Mike Talbot indicated he's reviewed the specification with
Engineering Design Associates and the ,gravel between pile caps
can be deleted and on site material utilized. Because the on site
material has some odor and organic components; Owner/Architect
do not wish to approve this option.
