Dear Membersof the Boards :
I was originally asked to sign a DBA form for an import business on River Rd.
Mr. Rodriquez was informed that a Special Permit would be required for any Home
Occupation or Service Business in a Residential Zone.
At the time, I was aware of P.O. Boxes for rent, as suites, located at 351
Pleasant Street, and was under the impression that they satisfied the requirements
of the State. I was then subsequently informed by both the City Clerk, and the City
Solicitor that this was not the case and that an actual place of business was required.
Because of this, I have changed the policy of the Department and now make an on-
site inspection before signing a DBA form.
