PROPOSAL
Planned renovation for the property located on 300 Pleasant St. primarily
includes conversion to a restaurant occupied space. The cafe/pizzeria
("Sanctuary") located on the main floor of the original building will seat 60 or
less patrons. Emphasis on mid-priced foods and a casual "cafe" atmosphere will
help to establish "Sanctuary" as a meeting place for both the permanent and
college communities alike.
The building seems to require no main structural changes. However, interior
walls will be added to the main and upper floors. This sectioning off provides a
kitchen area on the first floor, and office-storage space on the second floor, as
well as in the basement.
The remaining seperate spaces are intended for future retail space
dependant upon the success of the restaurant.
