6. DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED PROJECT
The existing two story section will be improved with rebuilt front wall and enhanced rear wall to support
new roof allowing full use of second floor area. Windows will be replaced, insulation upgraded and
siding replaced.
The existing one story section will be demolished and replaced with new foundation, basement and
enlarged one story structure with enlarged footprint.
The existing section to be replaced has a footprint of 800 sq. ft. and will be replaced by new footprint
of - 1590 sq. ft..
New structure and renovated section will be built using environmentally responsible material selection
and will have greatly enhanced energy efficiency.
12. CLARIFICATION OF BUILDING SQUARE FOOTAGE
Existing building square footage is 1830 not including the damp non - habitable basement. The
new section will have a dry basement area of — 1590 sq ft. , roughly equal to the main level living area.
An additional '"130 sq. ft. are gained on the second floor of the existing structure by revising the front
wall and roof, space that is currently unusable eave space.
12. CLARIFICATION OF % OPEN SPACE
Current % open space considers existing home, barn and paved driveway and is a best estimate
of 95.8 %. Proposed % open space will be 95.1 %. The registered lot information lists as 2.51 acres, or
109,336 sq. ft.. The barn and driveway together are approx. 2800sq. ft.
ADDITIONAL DETAIL
We will temporarily place rental cargo containers, one 14' and one 20' on site to store furnishings while
house is under construction. I have inspected example containers and they are clean, painted and in
good mechanical condition and appearance. Duration of rental 3 to 4 months.
