Observations:
The following observations are based on a visual inspection of Shop Building B at the project site
(see photos):
The structural framing for Shop Building B appears to be complete. The former exterior load
bearing masonry wall at line C.1 has been removed and replaced with steel framing per the
construction drawings. Per EB this was completed per the following construction methodology:
1. Open web steel roof joists for the existing building were reinforced with steel
angles and temporarily shored.
2. Existing masonry wall at line C.1 (8" CMU, 2" rigid insulation, faced with 4"
decorative block) was cut and /or removed as required.
3. New supporting steel framing was installed; All existing steel joists were welded to
the top flanges of new W16 steel girders on each side of joist seat. New columns
bear on existing 12" foundation wall and are connected with four (4) anchor bolts
drilled and expoxied with HIT -HY 150 MAX adhesive. New cable bracing was
installed between lines 8 and 9 at C.1 (temporarily removed at time of inspection
for existing floor cutting operations; will be reinstalled when floor cutting
complete).
Per CB, the reinforced concrete floor for Shop Building B will be completely poured on Monday,
February 16

Observations:
The following observations are based on a visual inspection of Shop Building B, and
Shipping Building C at the project site (see photos):
New buildings appear to be 100% complete including site improvements (paving, turf
establishment, street trees, etc.). Owner is actively using new portions of the building.
Electrical and mechanical contractors are on site at time of inspection.
Per CB, utility contractors completing minor items primarily with respect to office
portion of the building (not in Associated Builders contract; Owner is contracting office
work). No punch list items remain. Fire chief has signed off on the building. Owner is
awaiting Certificate of Occupancy from the Town.
