Thank you for your confidence in Wright Builders and for the opportunity to work
together and be of assistance.
The Scope of the Project: The scope of the work is as outlined below.
Install floor, railing, baluster and misc protection throughout. Remove, protect and save
lighting fixtures. Electric upgrades: replace old panels, disconnect knob and tube, cut and
make safe at demolition areas and install temp power for renovation locations. Remove
wall paper and mastic. Demolition of kitchen cabinets. Demolition of soffit at pantry
stair. Demolition of 2 floor baths to accommodate the new plan. Repair flat roofs (not
including garage) with single ply membrane.
Costs: Costs for the project are as shown on the attached estimate summary and Wright
Builders, Inc. makes substantial efforts to secure and hold pricing on all aspects of the
work. Volatile items such as, but not limited to, wire, copper piping; plastic products, oil
based products and lumber are beyond the control of Wright Builders, Inc. and the
customer agrees to pay for incremental cost changes that exceed those unit costs
contained within the quoted package, by change order, should such conditions arise.
Optional Work Options for material or costs savings, if applicable, are included in a
separate Options Summwy page: They may be selected at time of original contract and
will then be incorporated as a Change Order.
Site Work conditions: All costs presented for site work items are estimates assuming
conditions are as they appear on documents provided and ascertained during site ,

11.% Home Owner Exemption
The current exemption for "homeowners" was extended to include Owner - occupied Dwellings of one (1) or two(2) families
and to allow such homeowner to engage an individual for hire who does not possess a license, provided that the owner acts
as supervisor. CMR 780, Sixth Edition Section 108.3.5.1.
Definition of Homeowner: Person (s) who own a parcel of land on which he /she resides or intends to reside, on which there
is, or is intended to be, a one or two family dwelling, attached or detached structures accessory to such use and/ or farm
structures. A person who constructs more than one home in a two -year period shall not be considered a homeowner.
Such "homeowner" shall submit to the Building Official, on a form acceptable to the Building Official, that he /she shall be
responsible for all such work performed under the building permit.
As acting Construction Supervisor your presence on the job site will be required from time to time, during and upon
completion of the work for which this permit is issued.
Also be advised that with reference to Chapter 152 (Workers' Compensation) and Chapter 153 (Liability of Employers to
Employees for injuries not resulting in Death) of the Massachusetts General Laws Annotated, you may be liable for person(s)
you hire to perform work for you under this permit.
