At their meeting on September 23, 1982 Planning Board Member George Andrikidis brought
to the full Board your concerns regarding Special Permit requirements for parking,for a
use in one zone,being located in another,with regard to the proposed Roundhouse parking
lot. After discussing the matter at length the Planning Board unanimously passed the
following Resolution:
RESOLUTION
The Northampton Planning Board has reviewed plans for the municipal
parking in the Roundhouse area and considers them to be an improvement in
the existing municipal parking. Most of the proposed parking area is
situated within the Central Business Zoning District, where municipal
parking areas are permitted. The portion of the proposed improved
parking area within the Urban Residential -C (UR -C) Zoning District is
an existing municipal parking area serving the Central Business District
and therefore it appears to the Planning Board that the proposed parking
area is a continuation of an existing use.

The original Specifications and Drawings, dated September 9, 1982 are hereby
amended as follows. Receipt of this Addendum shall be acknowledged by
inserting its number in the space provided on the Bid Form. This Addendum
consists of 1 page.
SPECIFICATIONS. ,
1.01 Section 2K, Paragraph 2.01. Delete Paragraph A, and insert in its
place: -
A. Pipe
1. Concrete pipe shall be reinforced concrete storm drain pipe 12"
diameter conforming to ASTM C14, Class III, with jute and mortar
joints. Acceptable manufacturer shall be New England Concrete
Pipe Corp., Westfield, Massachusetts, or approved equal.
2. PVC pipe shall be 8" diameter J.M. Ring -Tite PVC Gravity Sewer
Pipe, or approved equal.
1.02 Section 16, Paragraph 1.02 B. 1. Add the following words:
and underground and overhead extension of service to City Hall.
