As is indicated in the attached copy of the violation notice, I found 40+ cats and 5 dogs and a few caged birds. There were animal droppings throughout the dwelling and a very strong odor. From a sanitary code standpoint, I've issued orders to cleanup the dwelling but I wasn't sure about the status of the wood stove in the living room. Improper use of that stove was the reason that the fire department was originally called. There were concerns about the installation of the stove.
