Second Floor Office interior alteration
Construction progress report
Dear Inspector Miller:
I visited the above workspace this morning: the location into which Lane Construction is to expand its
existing adjoining office suite, and I conclude that work there is complete at this time. All the room
finishes are in place, as are all utility and life safety system adjustments. The latter includes exit signage
and emergency exit lighting.
Everything has been completed as I depicted on my Schematic Interior Partition Layout Plan Drawing A -1
(dated 9 May 2011), with the sole exception being the removal of two back -to -back closets just north of the
kitchenette. The removal of those two closets is shown below in my partial plan drawing and that closet
removal, in my opinion, smoothes out the flow of pedestrian traffic within the suite expansion.
From all of my field observations, and to the best of my knowledge, the work of this project is therefore
complete and conforms to the requirements of Massachusetts Building Code 780 CMR Eighth Edition.
