23.405 An Order to Appropriate $75,000 in CPA Funds for Design of a Multi-Use Trail Within the Rocky Hill GreenwayCity of Northampton MASSACHUSETTS In City Council, December 5, 2023 Upon the recommendation of the Community Preservation Committee 23.405 An Order to Appropriate $75,000 in CPA Funds for Design of a Multi-Use Trail Within the Rocky Hill Greenway Ordered, that WHEREAS, the Northampton Office of Planning & Sustainability submitted a CPA application for final design of a multi-use trail within the Rocky Hill Greenway; WHEREAS, the trail will connect residential areas along Rocky Hill Road to the New Haven and Northampton Canal trail, and will allow the City to access federal funds for trail construction WHEREAS, on November 29, 2023, the Northampton Community Preservation Committee voted unanimously to recommend that $75,000 in Community Preservation Act funds be used to support the projects. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDERED, That $75,000 be appropriated from Community Preservation Act funding to the Office of Planning & Sustainability for the Rocky Hill Greenway Multi-Use Trail Design project. And, that the grantee meets the conditions approved by the Community Preservation Committee, the Mayor, and City Council. Specifically, $75,000 is appropriated from the CPA Budgeted Reserve (account #2344930-359930)
