NATURE OF PROPOSED WORK
EMAIL ADDRESS:
Solar Canopy over parking spaces
HARDSHIP:
CONDITION OF APPROVAL:
FINDINGS:
The Planning Board approved the site plan for the construction of a solar canopy over a portion of the rear parking lot based upon the
plans submitted with the application.
In approving the site plan, the Board determined that the canopy met the standards in Section 11.1
A. The requested use protects adjoining premises against seriously detrimental uses through provision for surface water drainage, sound
and sight buffers and preservation of views, light, and air. This is a carport over existing parking not visible from King Street.
B. The requested use will promote the convenience and safety of vehicular and pedestrian movement within the site and on adjacent
streets, and bike paths, minimize traffic impacts on the streets and roads in the area. No changes to the use are proposed.
C. The site will function harmoniously in relation to other structures and open spaces to the natural landscape, existing buildings and
other community assets in the area as it relates to landscaping, drainage, sight lines, building orientation, massing, egress, and
setbacks.
D. The requested use will not change nor create any new impacts.
E. The requested use meets any special regulations set forth in this chapter. There are none specific to solar canopies.
