Description and Observations
Norway maple (50” DBH) is in poor to fair overall health. Tree exhibits signs of significant decay and
compromised structural integrity. Tree exhibits a history of large branch failures. Mushrooms are present
on the bottom 10 feet of the trunk and at the root/trunk flare.
Significant target includes the building/garage that is directly next to and under the tree. The tree exhibits
significant dieback. Current canopy is approximately 30% of a healthy Norway maple. Large branch or
whole tree failure is imminent within the next 1-3 years. When this tree fails, it is very likely that it will
impact the garage with significant consequences. This tree poses a high level of risk.
Recommended risk mitigation: Tree should be removed. If removed, remedial risk will be No Risk.
