I've also been in contact with Paul Britt who still travels in the architectural salvage circles and he has not come up with anything as yet either. Just to alleviate any confusion I did volunteer to see if a lower cost option to door replacement could be found but the onus of replacing your door was never solely on the commission's shoulders. The offer was nmeant as a way to save you money, not to take on the task of finding you a used door as the only solution. The commission's decision was for you, the property owner and the one who removed the original door, to replace the door with a wooden one in keeping with what was originally there. It was never incumbent upon the commission to replace your door. As the avenues that I have tried to find a used wooden alternative to a new wooden door have come up dry and a fair. amount of time has elapsed in the process, I think that finding a used door is no longer a viable option and that you should pursue a new wooden door that meets the approval of the commission. It is not the commission's desire to utilize the courts as a means of compliance, only as a last resort, so I'rn sure we can arrive at a resolve as long as you are willing to work with the commission in good faith. Please keep Peg apprised of your progress. Sincerely, Chris Kennedy On Jan 22, 2008, at 4:34 PM, Kathy Borawski wrote: Chris- Have you had any luck finding me a wooden door?
