9.3 A(10) The Zoning Board of Appeals determined that the proposed addition to the rear of the existing house,
which reduces the nonconforming west/southwest side setback from about 9’ to about 5’, was not
substantially more detrimental to the neighborhood than the existing house.
The Board found that:

(1) The applicant measured the existing west/southwest side setback from the lot line to the
eaves based on survey pins.
(2) The addition will improve the property, lives of its residents, and the neighborhood.
(3) The addition will enable residents with different family compositions to live on the property
and stay in the neighborhood, which will improve the neighborhood.
BOARD CONDITIONS
1. The owner shall not add egress doors to the west/southwest side of the house.
2. All roof runoff shall be directed toward the rear lot and contained on site.
