We are neighbors at 201 Nonotuck Street, with a full of view of the planned construcon. Our support for this project is based on the following: 1. The residenal building is already non-conforming and the planned addion is aesthecally cohesive with the exisng structure. We have viewed the construcon plans and find them tasteful, modest, and an enhancement to the neighborhood. The proposed construcon has no negave impacts to the neighborhood. 2. The 2-foot setback is incorrect. A deck is already in place at the proposed building site and the addion is nominally larger than the current deck. There is significantly more space from the proposed addion to the exisng fence line than indicated by the city. 3. We love our neighbors and want them to stay! With current limited housing opons and prohibive housing costs in the Northampton area, the city is at risk of losing families without allowances such as the requested permit. This home belongs to a young family who wants to remain in the area and has outgrown their 2-bedroom home. Without a variance, they will be unlikely to stay in the city of Northampton. Thank you for considering our comments. Sincerely, Julia and Matthew Ronconi 201 Nonotuck St. Florence, MA 802-380-1971
