Thanks. We will change the parking spaces shortly, but they are yours whenever you need them
back.
I don't know about funding. My guess is that it will be a year, but there are just a lot of unknowns
on our end.
Legally we can pay up to appraised value, and I don't know what that is relative to the city tax
assessment. My suspicion, especially in our odd market (residential prices have not dropped here but
commercial prices are) is that our tax assessment is pretty close to reality or even on the high side,
but I don't know that for sure.
You also mentioned that you might be willing to sell at a lower price for a public use. I am curious
how that might enter into this and if there is any opportunity there. From my perspective, the better
the price the more there is a chance that the city might be willing to borrow to finance a purchase
instead of waiting for future grant funds.

It’s very preliminary interest and not outside money
In the meantime we need about 7 spaces for work crews and such How about we keep the two by the building and
then five more closer to the building
Im have no idea how long it takes to get funding Let me know If it’s a matter of months or years
Also you mentioned the assessed value. Would you be able to pay more than that ?

If you have someone who is ready to buy it and invest in Northampton, please move
forward. We are still looking for funds and probably can't move very fast. Your
building would be perfect for what we want it for, but we also don't want to compete
with people who are investing in Northampton.
In the meantime, until you sell the building, would you be ok if we took down the
reser ved parking signs for your 22 parking spaces. It is a waste to have empty spaces
downtown. Once you have a tenant or a purchaser (or until we purchase it), we will
restore the spots.
If your investor doesn't come through, let me know and if the timing works out I
would still love to pursue it. I wish I had the funds today to make an offer.

Funding would be from a combination of city funds and
grant funds. Thanks. We will talk about it more in-house and
think about what we want to do.

Thank you for your help with this encampment matter , with regard to
the sale all offers are welcome and Pat Goggins is handling the
brokerage.
I can’t tell you what I would take , but if it was community use I can tell
you I would that it into consideration, and would certainly offer better
pricing to a neighbor than a third party .
Where would the funding come from ?

Thanks. We will look into this. I was not aware
of this encampment. It is tr ue that during Covid
we are not being especially stringent since there
are not a lot of g ood options out there, but we
will see what kind of issue there is here.
Certainly this looks like someone has built a
small building.
I see that you are putting the Roundhouse back
on the market. The city is exploring a new
public facility, a community and resilience hub.
We may do due diligence on the building,
although we have been planning on waiting a
year because we think that prices are g oing to
drop with the Covid-related increasing
vacancies. I don't suppose you would want to
talk about pricing pretending it is a year from
now and you have been discouraged on the
market? As I am sure you know, the city
assessed your property at $1.863 million.

How are you ? Hope your staying safe and all is well .
I received the following photos from my property
manager , someone is camping out in the back of
Pulaski park , next to the bridge to the roundhouse.
I understand that Northampton is very relaxed when it
comes to this sort of thing , but I don't think its really
appropriate.
Given we have an easement but this is really city
property , I dont know if I should call the parks
department or police
Let me know what you think I should do
