Good morning Mike, Greg, Donna, and Louis
Can you let me know if leaving the road in its current state is acceptable un l the spring. A er speaking with the site/paving contractor we believe the road is in
good shape to get through the winter. In the mean me, we would pave the driveway with binder and ramp up the binder at any areas that need access. We are
currently wai ng for Columbia Gas to install their new feed and meter to the building. Once this is complete we will repair the sidewalks, which we have not
touched at this me as part of this project.
Can you please let me know if anybody has any issues with the above plan and if it would have any impact on anyone’s recommenda on for a TCO that would be
an cipated in March? All final top would be applied shortly therea er as soon as the plants open up in the spring. We are aware our permits expire this year
and will need to renewed for work to be completed next year. Below is a revised summary of what we would ask permission for at this me:
· The roadway pavement patch must be completed with prior to November 15th. – Looking to leave street in current state un l Spring and asphalt plants re-
open.
· The concrete sidewalk must be completed prior to November 15th. The Owner/Contractor shall be responsible for keeping sidewalk clear of ice and snow
throughout the cold season. Do not apply materials containing salt to new sidewalks for at least 90 days in order to allow concrete and sealer to cure. – We will
follow this recommenda on and try to complete ASAP.
· The driveway entrance (from roadway to sidewalk) shall be final paved prior to November 15th. – We would request binder (ramped to avoid trip hazard)
· The driveway beyond the sidewalk shall be paved with binder course (as a minimum) prior November 15th. It is also required that the contractor shall
protect the sidewalk by installing a pavement ramp/transi on from the driveway binder course to the top of the concrete sidewalk. – This would be completed
as described.
Greg thank you for your me last week.
Thank you,
Mark
