“For carpentry scope clarity” – Exterior trim repair
1. At locations identified by WBI,(in excess of 50% ) remove deteriorated trim.
Advise if any additional structural work is necessary/recommended.
2. At areas of work install new backing as needed, replace vapor barrier as needed,
and install new siding and/or trim – along with necessary flashing – to insure proper
reconstruction of building envelope.
3. All new trim and flashing should match existing that was removed. All new
wood material will be primed on six sides prior to installation. All necessary
caulking will be included, and work will be left in “paint ready” condition.
4. Any roof assembly disturbed or compromised during the replacement of soffit and overhang
assemblies will be restored to original condition.
5. Lower Roofs - The “sag” in these roofs is not completely related to the failing masonry
structure…..once gutter and facia is removed, we will need to extend and sister some of the rafter
tails, and the member against the masonry seems also to be compromised from insufficient
flashing details. We might have to remove part of the ceiling assembly in these areas to access
for repairs.
