McErlain, Health Agent SEP I I sao [1] SUBJECT: Tom Masters ' Project , simw mNORTHAUMPDTtON MA , DATE: September 7 , 1990 RE: MASTERS' PROJECT 4 Main Street On September 6 , 1990 , I contacted Mr. Louis Vesco of the State Board of Plumbing and Gas Fi+±ing Inspectors in Boston. I asked Mrs Vesco about the fee and procedure for obtaining a Plumbing Code Variance for the Tom Masters ' Project at 4 Main Street. The variance ould allow construction/occupancy of a building with only one toil t. Mr. Vesco asked what the square footage of the project was . I informed him that the addition totaled 460 square feet. Mr. Vesco informed me that, because the addition was less than 1 , 000 square feet in size, one toilet was adequate, as long as the addition was not to be part of a medical facility. He said, therefore, no variance was required. Mr. Vesco added that if there were any questions concerning t1iis matter they should be directed to him. Thank you for your assistance. -4 rf."19/1/te- IC.A2- --1--- Peter J. McErlain, Agent Northampton Board of Health PJMcE/cdh cc: Tom Masters —Printed on Recycled Paper—
