Re: Conditions #37 of the OOC
Dear Commissioners,
As required by Condition #37 of the Order of Conditions issued for the project located at
60 Damon Road, we are providing a detailed sequencing, construction, and planting plan
for the riverfront mitigation areas noted on the approved plans. While three separate
mitigation areas are shown on the plans, the description below is applicable to all three.
1. Install erosion control barrier along the downgradient edge of the mitigation areas
and along the side slopes as necessary to adequately contain potential runoff and
sediment relocation.
2. Confirm sedimentation controls are adequate with Conservation Commission
agent.
3. Remove existing asphalt or gravel surfacing within restoration areas to a minimum
depth of 6”. Remove and dispose of all material off-site that’s unusable for other
aspects of the project (i.e. gravel base material).
4. Import and spread clean topsoil to a minimum depth of 6” following compaction.
Final surface grades should match previous grades and/or conform to the existing
topography as best as possible.
5. Plant woody shrubs from list provided.
6. Seed areas with Conservation Mix as specified below and mulch with straw or
equal.
7. Water as required to ensure adequate germination.
8. Review final restoration areas with Conservation Commission agent.
9. Remove erosion control barriers once areas are stabilized.
