The Conservation Commission voted unanimously to recommend that the Planning Board issue the special permit. Allowing the frontage reduction and corresponding donation of an access in conjunction with a permanent land protection will be consistent with the City’s Open Space, Recreation and Multi- Use Plan by expanding holdings of open space, creation of a needed trail connection, and will contribute to the variety of publicly accessible land within Northampton.
