ZONING PERMIT APPLICATION - QUESTIONS 5,6, and 9
Question 5. Existing Use of Structure:
Currently the downstairs of the structure is used as an office and an art studio.
The upstairs is used as storage.
Question 6. Proposed Use of Structure:
Our goal is to transform the storage area into a living area for a studio apartment (one or two
occupants), and add a small kitchen and bath downstairs. We may add a dormer to the upstairs
living area (facing the rear of the property) to improve natural light, and to provide a view to the
back of the property.
The "office" area will continue to be used as an office and an art studio.
As indicated on the drawing. we may add a small deck and or storage shed to the back of the
structure.
A plumber has determined that it is possible to run water to the building from our basement in
the main house.
Question 9. Does the site contain a brook, body of water or wetlands?
There is a small brook which runs in the woodlands beyond the fenced yard, at the back of the
property, at the bottom of the hill. The proposed changes to the structure (all interior save
possible several feet of deck or shed) would not affect the brook.
Re: parking - We have room for 6 cars to park.
We can adjust how the cars are oriented when parked for ease of coming and going.
