1. Public Comment- no public comment
2. October 16, 2019 minutes- approved unanimously- motion by Nick Horton, second by Eric
Boudreau
3. Proposed ValleyBike stations for 2020- the committee was supportive of plans for new
station on Conz Street, King/Barrett, King/Big Y, Riverside/Ladd, and S. Main/Florence St.
There was interest expressed in advancing efforts to promote or include helmets with bike
share.
4. Main Street redesign and demonstration- The site visit for Road Safety Audit, identifying
safety challenges, occurred and the final report is due in early January. The consultants will
hold stakeholder meetings in January (Debin Bruce was invited as a stakeholder/steering
committee member on behalf of the bicycle and pedestrian committee.
5. Lower Pleasant Street redesign- The city has narrowed its consultant selection to two bidders
and will award the contracts in December.
6. Edwards Square bike path ramp- We are waiting the outcome of our Complete Streets grant
application.
7. ADA improvements- designs are underway
8. Safe Routes to Bridge Street School- on hold until MassDOT has a consultant on-board.
9. What can neighborhoods do for traffic calming manual- Angela Gregory shared an outline of
the issues that need to be resolved and offered to help coordinate the manual. Committee
members were extremely supportive
